These are exactly the questions I feel like I am walking around in a daze trying to find. Just today I spent my lunch at Barnes and Nobles staring at the thousands of books in the Religious and Inspirational section. Where to begin? What helps you walk in the spirit? My question is, where is the Spirit and how do you find Him? Where is the center? WHERE DO YOU FIND THAT UNQUESTIONABLE FAITH? I am dizzy with confusion.

It can be overwhelming. No doubt. Let me recommend a couple books to start with: The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren and The Me I Want to Be by John Ortberg. Also, please consider joining others who are wrestling with similar questions here at GCC. There's a community that is meeting for 10 weeks to discuss the second book, Me I Want to Be. Here's a link to investigate http://www.gccwired.com/story.aspx?storyid=89

I hope you'll consider taking this journey with some other folks. It's the community that shapes us as much as the content.

PS (I would address you by name, but the link dead-ended on me. I hope you get this message)

My Story

  • I'm Rob Wegner. My official title is Pastor of Life Mission at Granger Community Church. My role is to help people get out of their seat and get into God's story, especially outside the four walls of the church building. I spend my time teaching, building teams and creating opportunties to mobilize people so that "up there" comes "down here." I love forging partnerships in our community and around the world to get that done. We're dreaming huge dreams about slaying the giants of our time - things like spiritual lostness, poverty, sickness, injustice, illiteracy...you get the idea. I get to do what I'm passionate about.
