Just to drop a note to show how reaching out to others DOES MATTER! I work for Yoder Oil in Elkhart. I began attending GCC about 8 months ago. I still attend another church, which is my home church. I have been able to witness to my employees for the last 4 years. Not much seemed to sink in. 2 months ago, a friend of one employee, invited her to a service at GCC. She and her 2 children went and were immediately hooked. At the same time, David Jeremiah presented a series on his program on WFRN concerning the end times. I had been sharing this subject with a second employee a month earlier. Because she worked in the office of the truck stop, we were able to listen to the series and then talk about it. To make a short story long, the first employee, invited a third employee, to a service. Her reaction was DITTO! They in turn invited the second employee to a service. DITTO! What happened next? A fourth employee was invited and DITTO! They in turn invited a customer. The amazing part of this story is that the first two employees have given their hearts to Jesus within the last two weeks. God is not finished with this story. I know that ultimately it is He who draws the lost to Himself, but we must do our part. Thank you and all those who have a part in being Jesus Christ to those in this community.

My Story

  • I'm Rob Wegner. My official title is Pastor of Life Mission at Granger Community Church. My role is to help people get out of their seat and get into God's story, especially outside the four walls of the church building. I spend my time teaching, building teams and creating opportunties to mobilize people so that "up there" comes "down here." I love forging partnerships in our community and around the world to get that done. We're dreaming huge dreams about slaying the giants of our time - things like spiritual lostness, poverty, sickness, injustice, illiteracy...you get the idea. I get to do what I'm passionate about.
