I bet you can feel it in your bones. God is up to something HUGE.
The church was never designed to be a fortress for the righteous, but a flood of revolutionaries, bringing the Good News of the Kingdom to broken lives and broken communities. Both in the New Testament and outside the Western, developed world, much of the church knows herself as an unstoppable grassroots movement, despite the great challenges of scarcity and persecution. The time has come for the church here in the West to reclaim that primal, scriptural identity.
Simultaneously, millions of Christians are awakening to the holism of the Gospel call, to not just transform individual’s lives, but entire communities. This gospel calling beckons local churches beyond the religious sector into every domain of society. If this calling toward movement and transformation is to be realized, it will require tectonic shifts, “Missional Moves,” in our understanding of church and how our mission is lived out. When these “missional moves” transform a life or a local church, they will awaken a movement that can literally shake the world. This book will provide a map for a local church to be unleashed on mission, both locally and globally.
For several years now, Jack Magruder and I have been studying the significant changes that are at work under the surface of not only our culture here in the US, but also the entire world. We’ve been hard at work, along with hundreds of others at GCC, adapting and thriving on these changes in both our local and global initiatives. We believe, these changes will literally affect the way that we, as the People of God, change the very landscape of the entire world around us for the 21st century and beyond.
We call these changes "Missional Moves".
These Missional Moves are the basis for a new book and (this is where you come in!) a series of videos for production for the people of GCC and our EnterMission Coaching Network. This Thursday, January 27th, we'll begin filming the first of these moves here at the GCC Granger campus.
I know it’s only two days away, but if you can be here, we’d love for you to apart of the action. You’ve always wanted to be in a movie, right? This is your big chance for a close up!
I do believe it will add huge value to your life and your presence will be a gift to all those who watch this video in the future. We’ve got space for 30-50 people per session. You can come to one session or all of them, whatever works for you.
