Last night may have been the most powerful New Community I've ever experienced. Mark unfolded the vision for the next run at GCC.
All I can say is...GOD MOVED IN.
At the end of the night, Mark handed me the microphone. I had no idea what I was going to say. I knew it was a holy moment.
Here's what came out of my mouth.
"I've been at GCC almost sixteen years. At that point, I was graduating from college and had been offered a pastoral staff position by my mentor, the man who shaped by walk with Christ more than any other. It was a no-brainer. I get to work for and with the man I respect most. It was a no brainer...until Michelle and I met Mark Beeson. Through the interview process, with Mark and the early trailblazers, we experienced this overwhelming sense of anticipation and expectation about what Jesus was going to do through His followers at Granger Community Church. As we heard the dream unfold, we knew that this was going to be more than merely human efforts producing merely human results. The God-sized dream captured our hearts completely. The last sixteen years here have been an amazing ride and we have never regretted that decision. Tonight, I have a sense that the amazing work of God we've seen up to this point is only Chapter One. Chapter Two is beginning n ow. The Pillar of Fire is moving ahead of us. I can see this smile on Jesus face and he's saying, 'You haven't seen anything yet.' All I can say is...I'M IN!"
I am filled with that overwhelming sense of anticipation and expectation MORE now than I have ever have been in my journey with the people called Granger Community Church.
If you know me, that's saying something.
Curious about what's next?
Watch the service online here tomorrow. (Hey, it's a holiday today. Even the techies need a day off.)
Tim gives you the skinny here.

My wife and I are really pumped about the changes that GCC is about to undertake! We talked about it for quite a while after NC services. The new Journey Bible Classes are going to be excellent! and we can hardly wait to see how they’re implemented. Looking forward to a longer weekend service too.
I’ve been praying for God’s direction for our church (and will continue to do so) and this certainly seems like answered prayer. We’re excited that church leaders are willing to respond and make changes as they’re led. In short -
WE’RE IN!
We’d enjoy seeing more of the Reveal survey results for Granger too. We’ve been following the Reveal efforts and find it very interesting.
